cas-ual fridays challenge 80

So, how's your Christmas gift wrapping coming along? Not so good eh? Well this week at CAS-ual Fridays should help as we want you to make gift tags! Our sponsor this week is Bossie Joscie!

Don't you just love the paper crafting industry? I certainly do and I love how easy it is to combine elements from all the different manufacturers. On my tag today I think I have at least a dozen different suppliers all playing nice together on the same tiny tag!

Bet you are wondering what supplies I've managed to fit in there! Here you go: CAS-ual Fridays (sentiment), Hero Arts (snowman, embossing powder), Lil' Inker Designs (holly die), Echo Park (patterned papers), The Twinery (twine), Ranger (glossy accents, enamel accents), Stampin' Up (green card), Copics, Tsukineko (Versafine, Versamark), Neenah (card for snowman), Papertrey Ink (skater die used for sentiment), Spellbinders (circle die) and I'm sure there are more on there too LOL!

Again, don't you just love the paper crafting industry - we really are spoilt for choice :)

Supplies: Stamps - CAS-ual Fridays snowflake greetings, Hero Arts snow much joy CL629; Inks - Versafine onyx black, Versamark; Card - Neenah solar white, Stampin' Up garden green; Paper - Echo Park winter wishes; Dies - Lil' Inker Designs holly jolly, Papertrey Ink skater dude, Spellbinders circles; Embossing powders - Hero Arts white, Filigree clear; Ranger glossy accents; Ranger enamel accents; Copic markers; Twine - The Twinery maraschino

case study challenge 119

Oh my word, we are truly flying through November and I can't believe this is the last week of CASE Study challenges with Angeline as our muse! We have a really original card from Angeline this week - just look at this fab lolly pop!

Although I added a touch of twine to my card as a nod to Angeline's, there was no way I could make twine behave itself to such an extent! Instead I used the card elements as a sketch of sorts - embossing in lower third, focal point left of centre with sentiment stamped to side. Here's my card:

The little rudolph there is from Clearly Besotted Stamps' Merry Little Christmas set which is quite appropriate as CBS are our sponsor this week :)

    last chance to comment

Popping in to let you know that today is the last day for comments on my Gratitude Blog Hop post. I will be drawing a winner from comments left up until the end of the day (00.00 GMT/ 19.00 EST) and will announce the winner of the $50 charity donation tomorrow :)

Can I just say how I have truly loved reading all the comments on this post. In the UK Thanksgiving is not celebrated but my second home is in this International crafty world we all love and I have really enjoyed taking a moment to focus on what I am grateful for and to read your stories too. As National traditions and holidays become Internationally recognised, I hope that Thanksgiving becomes a holiday widely celebrated. To focus on the good things in life is a wonderful thing in itself :)

    a little bit of cfs

I've not had anywhere near enough time recently to get my CAS-ual Fridays Stamps inky so today I get to rectify that at least a little bit!

I have a confession; I might be just a little bit in love with one of the border stamps from the countdown set LOL! I used it on both my cards today. For my first card I used it to ground a stamped panel on my Hanukkah card.

I stamped the border in Versamark onto the blue card base and it showed up beautifully :) The stamped panel was popped up on foam adhesive and the star again popped up and lots of rock candy Distress Stickles added for a bit of sparkle :)

Then for my second card I used the same border stamp as a background for a city scene partying in the New Year :) Again stamping in Versamark and then the city scape was popped up as was the sentiment.

Well that's me for the weekend :) Have a good one!

    Supplies:

Happy Hanukkah: Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays Stamps 8 happy nights, countdown; Inks - Versamark, Versacolor canary, lapis lazuli; Card - Stampin' Up bashful blue, midnight muse; Distress Stickles rock candy

Happy New Year: Stamps - CAS-ual Fridays Stamps countdown; Inks Versamark, Versafine onyx black; Card - Stampin' Up basic black, basic gray, Papertrey Ink lemon tart; Die - My Favorite Things skyline border
